Since its launch in 1970, the AFS has touched the lives of more than 50 000 high school and over 2 500 technical and vocational training students. Working with learners in state school within their local communities, learners are motivate and encourage to finish their high schooling and work towards reaching their potential of becoming role models that are so lacking in their communities.
The fund links donors and South African youth in need through the provision of school fees, school uniforms, transport and other basic school needs. ASF identifies promising academic learners in need and awards school and further education bursaries.
Over the past decade, Trans Africa Safaris has supported more than 20 students, some of whom continued their tertiary studies and completed sought-after qualifications. |
