Day 6

Air Cape Town to Kwetsani for 2 nights.

This luxury tented camp is located in a private reserve to the west of the Moremi Game Reserve. The large elongated island is heavily wooded with Palm, Mangosteen and Fig trees and is one of the most remote camps in the entire Okavango Delta.

The camp is raised on stilts beneath the shady canopy, overlooking the expansive plains. The five wonderful, spacious tented tree-house chalets are built under a thatch roof, and all have en-suite facilities including a shower, flush toilet, basin and outdoor shower.

All the Okavango big game can be found here, and there are excellent chances of spotting the predators. The activities at this camp include mokoros (dug-out canoes), boating and fishing (both seasonal), day and night game drives, birding and the hide sleep-out. Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dog, Buffalo and Elephant are all found in this area, as well as good concentrations of Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, and all the plains game.

Access into this area is only by aircraft and the airfield is about 45 minutes from camp. During the height of the Okavango’s floods (from about May to about September) we can usually only access the camp by boat from the Jao airstrip. During the remainder of the year we usually drive to camp.

Day 8

Air Cape Town to Camp Kuzuma for 2 nights.

Camp Kuzuma is an exclusive and private safari lodge situated in the pristine Kuzuma Forest reserve in the Chobe region of Botswana. The natural plant life at Camp Kuzuma is carefully preserved by elevated wooden walkways that connect the 5 Luxury Tented Suites to the main guest areas. Guests can enjoy spacious accommodation, delectable food, rejuvenating wellness treatments and exhilarating explorations on land or water.
