Champagne Southern Africa

From the beauty of the winelands to the cultural tapestry of Cape Town. From the awe-inspiring splendour of Victoria Falls to luxury game viewing in Botswana and South Africa.

Day 1

Transfer to Leeu Estates for 2 nights.

Leeu Estates encompasses an exclusive boutique hotel, winery and wellness spa set among vineyards, gardens and fynbos in the scenic Franschhoek valley, minutes away from the village of Franschhoek. An elegant and sophisticated private hideaway positioned between the mountainside and river, Leeu Estates offers superb comfort complimented by fine dining and platinum service.

Sightseeing in the Winelands includes:

  • Cape Winelands including a bicycle excursion through the vineyards plus two wine tastes
Day 3

After your winelands tour today, the tour terminates at The Silo for 3 nights.

The Silo is a magical space towering above the V&A Waterfront surrounded by the natural wonder of South Africa’s Mother City.  Built in the grain elevator portion of the historic grain silo complex, this hotel occupies 6 floors above what will become the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA).  From the outside, the greatest visible change to the building’s original structure is the addition of pillowed glazing panels, inserted into the geometry of the hotel floors, which bulge outward as if gently inflated.  By night, this transforms the building into a glowing lantern or beacon in the harbour.

Sightseeing in Cape Town includes:

  • Cape Point Nature Reserve and Boulders Beach including helicopter excursion of Cape Point
  • Orientation of the city, cableway journey up Table Mountain (weather permitting) and a visit to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens
Day 6

Air Cape Town to Mombo Camp for 2 nights.

Mombo Camp is situated on Mombo Island within the Moremi Game Reserve in northern Botswana. The camp offers abundant big game, arguably the best in Botswana. The highlight here is the concentrations of plains game and all the predators – including the big cats! Leopard sightings are particularly good. Guests could see lion, leopard, large herds of buffalo, cheetah, wild dog, elephant, hyena, giraffe, wildebeest and zebra.

Day 8

Air Cape Town to Zarafa Camp for 2 nights.

Breathtaking Zarafa Camp overlooks the floodplains of the Zibadianja Lagoon in the far eastern sector of the Selinda Reserve. The view, the shady trees and the high wildlife concentrations characterise the camp, as do the elevated vistas across the floodplains of Zibadianja. The camp has four large, luxuriously appointed tents, each with their own private pool, perfect for the discerning guest looking for privacy! Tents and verandahs are expansive and well-positioned under shady trees offering spectacular views.

Day 10

Air to Victoria Falls for 2 nights at Matetsi Private Game Reserve.

Matetsi River Lodge offers a safari oasis that combines an exceptional wildlife experience and 27km (17 miles) of private Zambezi River frontage with easy access to the majestic Victoria Falls. The spectacular lodge pays homage to the wonderfully rich cultural heritage of Zimbabwe by showcasing a vibrant theme of wood and copper, the “red gold” of the country’s historical mining industry. Splashes of bright blue remind guests of the rushing waters of the Zambezi River.

Day 12

Air to Singita Boulders for 3 nights.

Singita Sabi Sand offers rare solitude and the ultimate in safari luxury on prime game viewing land recognised globally for its diversity and formidable concentration of big game and frequent leopard sightings.
Boulders Lodge has a contemporary air of tranquillity.  Guests can enjoy wrap-around views from most parts of the natural stone lodge.  From the lookout deck, it is not uncommon to see elephant, buffalo and antelope grazing only metres away at any time of day.
